  • Experience with transformation (tissue culture) of plants.
  • Experience handling bacterial cultures and strains.
  • Experience with sequencing through PCR-Sanger.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the wheat and corn transformation pipeline and manage greenhouse and tissue culture work to transform plants, recover edited plants, and sequence edits.
  • Assist with vector design and construction; develop Taqman qPCR platform for high-throughput assays integrated with databases.
  • Collaborate with a senior researcher to develop binary vectors for plant transformation; support cross-team projects.
  • Work withGenome Editing Center and stakeholders; deliver plant transformation platforms and present results weekly.
