Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a General Manager to own the profitability of a corrugated packaging manufacturing facility. You will oversee safety, quality, cost, and productivity while expanding local and regional sales and driving strategic initiatives.

You will build and lead a high-performing team, implement continuous improvement, align business plans with company goals, and collaborate with Sales, Logistics, and Quality to optimize performance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering - Required.
• 7+ years of progressive management experience in a manufacturing facility, with 5+ years in operations/production management.
• Proven budget and financial management experience.
• Track record of goal setting, leadership, and transformative change.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the plant’s profitability and ensure safety and quality requirements are met.
• Develop and implement business plans aligned with company goals and strategic vision.
• Build and lead a high-performing team and drive change initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with strategic direction.
• Build partnerships with commercial/sales to identify growth opportunities and manage key accounts.
• Oversee and drive production improvements to meet objectives and optimize efficiency.
