Job summary

Owens Corning seeks a Plant Controller for its Starr, SC manufacturing facility to provide financial leadership, drive results, and maintain a strong internal control environment. You will lead planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting while partnering with operations, sourcing, and IT to optimize profitability.

The role requires strong GAAP/SOX knowledge, experience in manufacturing finance, and proven cross-functional leadership to guide the plant and contribute to corporate objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or relevant discipline required. MBA, CMA, CPA preferred.
• Experience leading finance for manufacturing operations with forecasting, budgeting and investment analysis.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant planning, budgeting and forecasting aligned to corporate objectives.
• Ensure robust internal controls, data integrity and asset protection across plant operations.
• Manage monthly close process and financial reporting in coordination with accounting team.
• Provide variance analysis, risk assessment and contingency planning to inform leadership.
• Drive plant profitability with cost reduction, productivity improvements and investment appraisal.
• Lead and develop cross-functional teams and share best practices across the division.
