Job summary

Corning Incorporated is seeking a Finance Plant Controller for the CET Erwin plant in New York. You will lead the plant’s finance team, close monthly books, and prepare budgets while ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls.

You will analyze results, manage asset and liability control, and drive cost improvements. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in manufacturing finance, proficiency in Excel/PowerPoint, and familiarity with ERP and forecasting tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or equivalent
MBA/CPA preferred
5+ years of manufacturing or relevant experience, controller experience preferred
Proficiency in Excel / PowerPoint, general ledger systems, forecasting tools

Responsibilities

Direct and develop the plant finance staff and coach talent
Close the financial books monthly and publish plant period report
Ensure timely and accurate accounting activities including asset management
Prepare annual budget and business forecasts and analyze capital investments (ROI, IRR)
Identify cost problems and drive root-cause analysis and solutions
Maintain internal control systems and ensure compliance with US GAAP and policies
