Job summary

International Paper Company is seeking a Financial Analyst in Byesville, Ohio to provide accounting and analytical support, analyze performance, and maximize financial returns for the facility. The role reports to the Controller and covers budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in manufacturing finance, with strong communication skills and process improvement focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA a plus.
• 3+ years of accounting and/or finance experience; manufacturing facility experience desirable.
• Corrugated, printing, packaging and/or related finance experience in manufacturing environment a plus.
• Demonstrated knowledge of general business management principles and internal financial management.
• Ability to influence peers and communicate with business leaders at various levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide accounting and analytical support to maximize the financial return for the facility.
• Analyze performance and recommend actions to improve operational results.
• Develop and refine processes to improve accounting efficiencies and document procedures.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policy, and procedures.
• Prepare journal vouchers and participate in month-end close.
• Perform daily financial activities of the plant and ensure timely reports.
• Complete various reporting requirements.
• Review payroll-related hours and ensure accuracy in payroll system.
