Job summary

Thrive Freeze Dry in American Fork, Utah, is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to install, repair, and maintain production and facility systems. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and aligning with safety and quality standards.

You will collaborate with other departments to ensure operation efficiency, manage spare parts inventory, and support continuous improvement initiatives while following PPE guidelines and lockout/tagout procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical school or related training preferred.
• Craft apprenticeship or equivalent years of experience; PLC/HVAC experience a plus.
• Experience with ammonia preferred; strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving.
• Must work independently and maintain good attendance with safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on industrial and production machinery.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
• Diagnose problems, replace parts, test and adjust as needed.
• Adhere to safety procedures including LO/TO; maintain records of activities.
• Coordinate with other departments and manage spare parts inventory.
• Assist in training plant maintenance technicians.
