Job summary

Greif is seeking a Plant Engineering Manager for the Milwaukee paper mill. You will lead the engineering and technical improvement efforts, guiding automation, process optimization, and capital projects to boost safety, quality, reliability, throughput, and cost performance.

The role partners with Operations, Maintenance, EHS, and Quality, directing a small, high-impact technical team to deliver sustainable business results and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
Experience in paper manufacturing or similar process manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of process systems and industrial automation.
Experience with DCS, PLC, and process control systems.
Proven project management and leadership of technical teams.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Lead mill engineering and technical improvement efforts.
Oversee the Controls Engineer and Process/Project Engineer.
Identify opportunities to improve performance and automate processes.
Develop and manage capital projects from concept to implementation.
Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, EHS, and Quality.
Drive continuous improvement and reliability.
