Staffmark Group in Arcadia, LA is hiring a Plant Engineering Manager (Direct Hire) to lead engineering teams and advance manufacturing processes for metal and titanium products.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of industrial engineering and project management experience, a Bachelor's in engineering, lean manufacturing training, and strong leadership skills to drive safety, quality, productivity and cost improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams to develop and improve manufacturing processes for metal and titanium products.
• Direct tooling department and oversee mandrel shop operations.
• Analyze performance and implement process improvements for safety, quality, productivity and cost efficiency.
• Manage projects, facility upgrades, and equipment improvement initiatives.
• Develop SOPs, routings, and process documentation.
• Train, coach, and supervise engineering staff, driving accountability and performance.
• Collaborate with plant leadership to set priorities and support goals.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and security requirements.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Applied Sciences required

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of industrial engineering and project management experience


• 3-5 years of supervisory or management experience


• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and manufacturing environments


• Knowledge of project management, capacity planning, lean manufacturing, ISO standards, and health & safety practices

Job Duties

• Lead engineering teams in developing and improving manufacturing processes for metal and titanium products


• Direct tooling department and provide oversight to mandrel shop operations


• Analyze manufacturing performance and implement process improvements to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency


• Manage engineering projects, facility upgrades, and equipment improvement initiatives


• Develop standard operating procedures, routings, and process documentation


• Monitor equipment effectiveness and support maintenance reliability efforts


• Train, coach, and supervise engineering staff while driving accountability and performance


• Collaborate with plant leadership to establish priorities and support operational goals


• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and security requirements
