Job summary

Pave Talent and our client seek an engineering leader to build a plant's technical backbone in Fremont, CA. You will own the design, permitting, equipment fabrication, procurement, construction, and startup, then lead the engineering team ongoing.

You will work hands-on around hazardous chemicals in a process-safety driven operation, setting standards for safety, quality, throughput, and cost. A 4-year degree is required; Master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of engineering leadership experience.
• Manufacturing experience, preferably high-volume; batch chemical manufacturing preferred.
• Hands-on in a hazardous-chemical, process-safety driven environment.
• Strong command of manufacturing processes, equipment, and reliability/maintenance.
• Capital projects planning, budgeting, execution, validation; Lean, Six Sigma.
• Familiar with CAD, simulation, and ERP/MES systems; 4-year engineering degree required; Master’s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee plant build from design through startup and lead engineering once running.
• Build and lead the site's engineering team including senior and process engineers.
• Set technical standards and drive process improvements for safety, quality, throughput, and cost.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions on critical failures.
• Support capital projects from planning to validation and execution.
