Job summary

A leading building materials company is seeking Plant Engineering and Operations Talent to drive efficient plant operations across its Building Envelope manufacturing network. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and at least 2 years of experience in relevant fields. Responsibilities include supporting plant operations, designing processes, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. This position offers flexibility with multiple remote working opportunities across several states in the U.S.

Qualifications

We’re building a pipeline of technical and operations talent to support future opportunities across our Building Envelope manufacturing network. These roles vary by location and level, but all play a critical part in driving safe, efficient, high-performing plant operations.

Depending on your background, you may contribute by:

  • Supporting or leading plant operations to achieve goals in safety, quality, production efficiency, OEE, and cost optimization.
  • Designing, improving, and implementing manufacturing processes, reliability programs, and equipment strategies that enhance uptime and performance.
  • Partnering across production, quality, maintenance, and engineering to identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and capital projects.
  • Executing or supporting capital planning, equipment installation, commissioning, and project management activities.
  • Applying structured problem-solving and root cause analysis to eliminate recurring issues.
  • Embedding a culture of 5S, standard work, visual management, continuous improvement, and disciplined operating systems.
  • Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, safety policies, and environmental standards.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Electrical, or related), or equivalent technical experience
  • 2–15+ years of experience in manufacturing, maintenance, continuous improvement, or process engineering (we hire across levels)
  • Practical knowledge of Lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, TPM, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
  • A strong safety-first mindset and a passion for structured problem‑solving
  • Curiosity, accountability, and a drive to continuously improve plant systems and performance
Bonus Experience (highly valued)
  • Roofing, coatings, plastics, calendering, mixing, extrusion, foam manufacturing, paper/pulp, membranes, adhesives, sealants, and other building‑materials or heavy manufacturing environments.
