Job summary

Sotera Health is seeking a Plant Engineer to support East Coast Ethylene Oxide sterilization plants. You will perform hands-on maintenance, lead small to mid-size projects, and work with operations across multiple sites.

Expect travel up to 25% within the geographic region and engagement with a broad cross-functional team. Ideal candidates bring aMechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering background, 5+ years of experience, and a strong ability to analyze data, develop tests, and ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required; mechanical, electrical, or chemical preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in process/environmental settings.
• Experience in a regulated industry is a strong plus.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and complex data analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to develop scopes and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Identify and correct unsafe conditions and practices.
• Lead design, installation, and commissioning of projects.
• Execute small to mid-size projects, including maintenance and continuous improvement.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and emission control system performance.
• Support audits, Change Control processes, and site maintenance shutdowns.
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, EHS, and Finance.
