Job summary

CAMS Texas is seeking a Plant Engineer – Environmental Systems to provide technical and engineering oversight for environmental systems at a coal-fired power generation station, with primary responsibility for the Wet Limestone Slurry Flue Gas Desulfurization System (WFGD).

You will own designated plant systems, focus on mechanical performance, safety, and reliability, and collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and outside contractors to maintain compliance and deliver improvements.

Qualifications

• A BS in Mechanical/Chemical/Industrial Engineering with 5+ years in power plants.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical ownership for plant systems, focusing on rotating equipment and thermal performance.
• Investigate equipment issues, lead resolution, oversee upgrades and project execution.
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Technical, and Admin for reliability and compliance.
• Collaborate with staff and contractors on maintenance and outages, maintain backlog.
