Job summary
IKO Industries Ltd. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Sylacauga, Alabama to drive plant improvements and optimize production performance. You will lead projects, analyze costs and risks, and ensure equipment and processes meet contract specifications.
The role requires hands-on experience in manufacturing, proficiency with AutoCAD and SolidWorks, and a strong foundation in SPC and Lean Six Sigma. Travel is local with occasional training opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degreed preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing.
- Knowledge of SPC and practical implementation.
- Six Sigma/Lean experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Implementing project improvements to boost manufacturing performance.
- Obtain project quotes, guide contractor selection and oversee timely completion.
- Provide cost, risk and return analyses for approvals.
- Test and commission new machines to meet specs.
- Plan plant operation improvements: reduce costs, conserve energy, optimise equipment.
- Provide engineering oversight of facility infrastructure (HVAC, boilers, utilities).
