The Long Products Division, Steel Ventures, Inc., located in Wurtland, KY, has an immediate opening for a Plant Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Project management
• Drafting
• Machinery design and detailing
• Troubleshooting
• Working with equipment and facility maintenance
• Helping with preventative maintenance programs
• Strong familiarity with equipment automation and integration, robotics, hydraulics, pneumatics, equipment design codes, and machine guarding codes
• Demonstrated ability to develop concepts from initial design through detailed engineering, culminating in the preparation of final construction documents.
• Experienced in equipment procurement, installation, and overseeing system startup.
• Other duties as required

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred but relevant/equivalent experience accepted
• Over 3 years of professional experience in the field
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Experience with Inventor or Solid Works is a plus
• Experience with Microsoft Projects
• Proven work experience in plant equipment design/modification
• Weld/Material Handling Robotics Experience a plus (Fanuc training ++)
• PMP certification is a plus
• Some travel required US & International
• Ability to lift 30 lbs. +/-
