Job summary

Movement Search & Delivery is seeking a hands-on plant engineer to own capital projects from Front End Loading through install and debug at an automotive manufacturing facility. You will support maintenance, reliability, and plant safety while driving improvements on the floor.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil/Structural Engineering and 2+ years of progressive project engineering experience in a heavy industrial setting. On-site work in Nashville, TN is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 2+ years progressive project engineering in a heavy industrial environment.
• Knowledge of plant construction, building work, and equipment installation.

• Lead capital projects: Front End Loading studies, design, estimates, cost control, bidding, scheduling, install, and debug.
• Support equipment installations, modifications, and plant engineering needs.
• Analyze repetitive failures and design practical fixes that cut downtime and maintenance cost.
• Assess replacement programs, maintenance tools/skills, and equipment safety hazards.
• Measure equipment performance against production needs and implement improvements on the floor.
• Help set maintenance budgets and short-/long-range plant objectives.
• Support training for employees, contractors, and agency staff.
