Job summary

Lamb Weston in Washington, DC seeks an experienced electrician/maintenance technician to understand, troubleshoot, repair and upgrade plant electrical systems. You will install new equipment, maintain PLCs and SCADA, and support continual improvement of the maintenance program.

The role requires knowledge of electrical codes, safety certifications, ability to read blueprints, and hands-on skill with Allen-Bradley PLCs, drives, and power distribution.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Lock-out/Tag-out and Sanitation certifications required.
• Knowledge of 4160 VAC, 480 VAC, 277 VAC, 240 VAC, 120 VAC and drives.
• Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Performs electrical, electronic, and instrumentation installations and repairs.
• Maintains, repairs, and installs plant lighting and instrumentation systems including VFDs and sensors.
• Programs and maintains PLCs and SCADA systems.
• References electrical prints, ladder logic, NEC, and test equipment for tasks.
• Ensures maintenance plans and parts stock are available and updated.
• Collaborates with team leaders and contractors to meet project specs.
