Job summary

Jobot is seeking Industrial Electricians for MN/ND in a large agricultural manufacturing setting with a safety-first culture.

You will install and maintain electrical systems, support forklifts and machinery, and mentor apprentices while adhering to electrical codes and quality standards. A 5+ year background and journeyman certification are required. Overtime opportunities available as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of electrician experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with forklift operations and maintenance.
  • Proficient with electrical and manual tools.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
  • Journeyman certification is required.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
  • Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using testing devices.
  • Repair and replace equipment, wiring, or fixtures.
  • Follow National Electrical Code and local regulations.
  • Work within SAP for work orders and material requisition.
  • Train and mentor apprentices.
  • Adhere to quality and safety codes.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
  • Perform general electrical maintenance on forklifts and other machinery.
  • Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
  • Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
  • Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.
  • Circuit breaker corrective maintenance.
  • Work within the SAP system for work order management, time entry, and material requisition.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify machinery problems and come up with efficient solutions.
  • Train and mentor apprentices to foster the next generation of electricians.
  • Adhere to all quality and safety codes.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an electrician with a minimum of 5 years in the field.
  • Demonstrated experience in the Tech Services industry.
  • Experience with forklift operations and maintenance.
  • Proficient in using electrical and manual tools (e.g., wire strippers, voltmeter etc.).
  • Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.
  • Diploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician.
  • Valid license to practice the profession.
  • Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP system.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power generation, blueprints and maintenance and repair.
  • Proficient in electrical troubleshooting and handling of electrical controls.
  • Journeyman certification is a must.
