Job summary

Mondi is seeking a Plant Electrical Engineer to support electrical, electronic, and control systems across our production facility in a hands-on role. You will troubleshoot equipment, drive reliability improvements, and partner with Maintenance and Operations to minimize downtime.

You will design and support power distribution, machine controls, capital projects, and preventive maintenance in a fast-paced paper packaging environment, ensuring safety and compliance with OSHA and NFPA 70E.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline is required.
• 3+ years of electrical engineering, controls, or industrial automation experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting industrial machinery, electrical power distribution, motors, drives, and control systems.
• Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA 70E, National Electrical Code, and lockout/tagout.
• Ability to read, create, and revise electrical schematics and technical drawings; AutoCAD Electrical or similar software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, instrumentation, and controls issues affecting production machinery and building systems.
• Provide technical support during equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, variable frequency drives, servo systems, sensors, and industrial control networks.
• Design and improve electrical and control systems to increase reliability, safety, and efficiency.
• Coordinate with Maintenance and Operations to develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
