Job summary

Richelieu Foods is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Manager to coordinate and execute the plant safety program at the Wheeling, IL facility. You will lead audits, incident investigations, risk assessments, and training, ensuring compliance with federal/state/local regulations. This role requires strong collaboration with leadership to advance safety culture and operational excellence. The compensation reflects market ranges and includes eligibility for an annual incentive plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental health & safety or related field.
• 5-7 years of progressive safety leadership experience.
• Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety management principles including Combustible Dust, PSM, LOTO, Hot Work, Permit Required Confined Space Entry, PIT, and MEWPs.
• Proficient in risk assessment methods and root cause analyses.
• Strong communication and collaboration with regulatory agencies and senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the plant safety program and coordinate safety initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations; conduct audits and risk assessments.
• Oversee incident investigations and root cause analyses; implement corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs and track key metrics.
• Collaborate with site leadership to drive safety culture and continuous improvement.
