Richelieu Foods is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Manager to coordinate and execute the plant safety program at the Wheeling, IL facility. You will lead audits, incident investigations, risk assessments, and training, ensuring compliance with federal/state/local regulations. This role requires strong collaboration with leadership to advance safety culture and operational excellence. The compensation reflects market ranges and includes eligibility for an annual incentive plan.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in environmental health & safety or related field.
5-7 years of progressive safety leadership experience.
Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety management principles including Combustible Dust, PSM, LOTO, Hot Work, Permit Required Confined Space Entry, PIT, and MEWPs.
Proficient in risk assessment methods and root cause analyses.
Strong communication and collaboration with regulatory agencies and senior leaders.
Responsibilities
Lead the plant safety program and coordinate safety initiatives.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations; conduct audits and risk assessments.
Oversee incident investigations and root cause analyses; implement corrective actions.
Develop and deliver safety training programs and track key metrics.
