Job summary

Wis-Pak, Inc. is seeking a Facility Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist in our Hattiesburg, MS plant to serve as the site’s EHS expert.

You will ensure regulatory compliance, strengthen safety programs, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement across operations. You will work with the Director of Environmental Health, Safety, and Security to lead critical EHS initiatives, guide leaders, and drive sustainable risk-reduction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field required; 3+ years EHS in manufacturing.
• Candidates without a degree may qualify with 11+ years relevant EHS/Safety experience.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, hazardous materials and emergency preparedness requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead compliance audits, incident investigations, and root cause analyses with corrective actions.
• Interpret regulations and translate requirements into practical, sustainable workflows.
• Maintain accurate regulatory reporting and documentation records.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and leadership to strengthen safety programs.
