Job summary

Owens Corning in Rockford IL is seeking an EHS Coordinator to lead safety, health and environmental programs within the plant. You will monitor compliance, conduct audits, and guide incident investigations to closure. The role requires 1–3 years of EH&S experience, a related degree, and the ability to work across Operations & Maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bilingual not required; fluency in English expected for all safety communications.
• Familiarity with OSHA and environmental regulations preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety procedures and manuals.
• Experience leading safety and environmental teams or programs.
• Demonstrated incident investigation experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety and environmental programs to close gaps in plant operations.
• Coordinate safety inspections, audits, and documentation.
• Provide training and ensure procedure adherence across shifts.
• Coordinate and communicate EHS issues with plant staff.
• Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Promote injury-free work life and enforce safety standards.
• Maintain plant EH&S records and participate in permit inspections.
