Our Green Driver role at Star Nursery involves delivering products safely to residences or job sites, leaving a positive impression of our company and services. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring an excellent driving record and valid credentials to operate our insured vehicles.

Job Description

• Operate and drive assigned vehicle safely
• Drive vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) under 26,000 lbs.
• Pick up and transport goods to designated destinations
• Secure contents properly to prevent damage or injury
• Obtain signatures to confirm deliveries
• Assist in route mapping
• Follow predetermined routes and ensure timely deliveries
• Communicate with dispatch as needed
• Verify shipment contents against manifests
• Perform vehicle inspections before and after trips
• Check weather and road conditions prior to departure
• Keep vehicle clean and maintained
• Log and perform vehicle maintenance as needed
• Report major issues to management
• Follow delivery schedules and rest appropriately
• Adhere to company policies and traffic laws
• Comply with OSHA safety standards
• Maintain necessary paperwork
• Load, deliver, and transfer merchandise efficiently
• Hold a valid Driver's License with proper endorsements
• No current suspensions or revocations of driving privileges
