Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Manufacturing Cybersecurity Engineer to serve as the plant’s primary cybersecurity execution partner. You will implement and sustain the Manufacturing Cybersecurity Program, coordinate remediation activities, support incident response and disaster recovery, and partner with plant, IT, supplier, and global teams to reduce risk without disrupting production.

This onsite role requires strong execution, independent judgment, and the ability to manage competing priorities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 1+ years of cybersecurity experience in manufacturing, automotive, or OT environments.
• Experience with endpoint security, vulnerability management, incident response, and recovery.

Responsibilities

• Implement and sustain the Manufacturing Cybersecurity Program at the assigned plant.
• Identify and remediate endpoint security issues and vulnerabilities.
• Support incident response, investigations, and recovery activities.
• Coordinate readiness assessments for initiatives, pilots, and launches.
• Communicate risks, remediation plans, and downtime impacts to leadership.
• Document assessments, actions, and operating procedures; track issues to resolution.
