Job summary

Seneca Foods Corporation seeks an entry-level Cost Accountant for our Glencoe facility. The role focuses on cost accounting, AP, reporting, and standard cost development, with growth opportunities in budgeting and forecasting.

You will support plant controllers on costing projects, payroll, and onboarding seasonal staff, while maintaining strong attention to detail and teamwork across departments.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field required or preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of financial accounting procedures is desirable.
• Excellent Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Handle Accounts Payable & Receiving.
• Track operations and prepare reports.
• Prepare monthly journal entries and reconcile accounts.
• Develop and maintain standard costs.
• Assist in quarterly forecasting and bi-annual budgeting.
