We have newly created positions for Plant Controllers at various locations. Relocation is provided

Quincy, IL, Des Moine, IA, Lincoln, NE, Valdosta, GA, Spiritwood, ND

The successful candidate for the position will be a key, highly visible process leader for control activities and cost analysis for one of ADMs largest assets. In this role you will impact the success of our business to drive transparency and cost management. Your analysis will be crucial to driving operational excellence and achieving business objectives. This position offers the opportunity to work in a strong team environment, support and connecting Operations, GBS, Procurement, Finance and Performance Management. The position will report to the BU Controller NA Oilseeds.

Are you a finance leader with a passion for manufacturing excellence and cost control? ADM is seeking a Plant Controller to support one of the largest and most impactful segments of our business. This is a highly visible role that provides a critical link between operations and financial performance—where your insights will drive transparency, efficiency, and cost management.

As a key member of the BU Controlling team, you’ll collaborate closely with Operations, Finance, Procurement, GBS, and Performance Management to support one of ADM’s most strategically important assets. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a real impact while working in a strong team environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead monthly analysis of manufacturing costs, variances, and key financial insights for leadership

  • Ensure accuracy of plant cost allocations and financial controls

  • Partner with operations to develop and track performance strategies that improve cost efficiency and compliance

  • Review and support capital expenditures and internal audits

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and implement financial best practices

  • Support physical inventory, production accounting, and financial reconciliation

  • Serve as a trusted partner for Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and ERP system processes

  • Communicate and educate across plant and finance teams, promoting alignment and transparency

What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

  • 5+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Strong background in cost accounting and internal controls

  • Proven experience with continuous improvement tools such as Lean, RCA, or process mapping

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coaching skills

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across all levels of an organization

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; HFM and large ERP systems experience a plus

  • Ability to travel as needed
