Job summary

Generac Power Systems Inc is seeking a Plant Controller to partner with plant and executive leadership to analyze manufacturing cost performance and drive profitability across multiple U.S. facilities.

You will lead forecasting, cost modeling, and make-versus-buy decisions while coaching a Senior Financial Analyst. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial expertise, ERP experience, and the ability to influence stakeholders to improve profitability and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing finance or plant accounting.
• Experience leading projects or cross-functional teams.
• Experience working with ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Partner with plant and executive leadership to improve manufacturing cost performance.
• Prepare and present monthly manufacturing KPIs (labor, material variances, COGS).
• Provide actionable analysis of variances and recommended actions.
• Develop financial models for capacity planning and make-versus-buy decisions.
• Coach and develop a Senior Financial Analyst and support budgeting/forecasting processes.
