Responsibilities

• Prepare financial forecasts, budgets, long-range planning and analysis.
• Prepare analyses to support sales and operations decisions, focusing on product margins and working capital.
• Produce recurring reporting and analysis of BU performance and financial statements.
• Lead accounting functions: cash management, payables, credit and collections, fixed assets, and compliance.
• Establish and maintain an effective internal control environment and accounting policies.

Silgan Specialty Packaging is looking for a Plant Controller for the facility located in Wilson, NC. This is a hands-on position, requiring this individual to become closely familiar with the business practices, systems, and processes set forth by our Corporate Finance Dept. The Plant Controller must build strong partnerships with other departments, and serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership, in order to be responsible for the accuracy of our business transactions, financial results, and projections of the business, as well as to make sound recommendations related to business transactions and decisions. **Principle Accountabilities:*** Preparefinancial forecast, budgets, long-range planning and analysis for the company* Prepare financial analyses to support sales and operations-related decision making as we make investment decisions (scope mainly focused on full product margins and working capital)* Prepare recurring reporting and analysis on key elements of the business unit performance, including financial statements.* Lead the company's general accounting, cash management, supplier payment, credit and collections, fixed assets, management and corporate reporting, business controls, tax reporting, and compliance activities.* Establish and maintain an effective business control environment. + Establish and maintain accounting policies, and procedures, and improve on our accounting and reporting processes.
