Job summary

CFS, a Wisconsin-based manufacturer of power generation and industrial engine solutions, is seeking a Plant Controller to join the leadership team. The role reports to senior finance leadership and partners with plant operations to drive performance.

You will lead month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, inventory accounting, and internal controls, while mentoring accounting staff. This is a high-visibility position with exposure to executive leadership and opportunities to influence

Responsibilities

• Lead all plant accounting and financial reporting activities, including month-end close and financial statement preparation
• Partner with operations leadership to analyze manufacturing costs, labor efficiency, inventory, and plant performance metrics
• Develop and maintain annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses
• Ensure accurate inventory accounting, cycle count programs, and physical inventory processes
• Monitor standard costs and support cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support operational decision-making
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance staff within the facility

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Qualifications For The Plant Controller

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience within a manufacturing environment
• Publicly traded experience would be nice to see
