Genuine Search Group is seeking a Plant Controller to oversee cost accounting and financial activities for a manufacturing facility in Ohio. You will partner with plant leadership to drive profitability, support business objectives, and improve cost efficiency through standard costing, inventory control, and rigorous financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will be hands-on, analytical, and able to translate financial insights into actionable recommendations for operations and production teams.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with plant accounting and standard costing.
• Strong knowledge of inventory accounting and cost analysis.
• Advanced Excel and experience with cost/inventory systems.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the primary finance and accounting partner to plant management, providing financial insights to support operational and strategic decisions.
• Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly plant performance metrics, including labor, overhead, scrap, productivity, and throughput.
• Manage month-end close activities related to inventory, labor, accruals, material costs, overhead, and transfer pricing.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and Sarbanes‑Oxley requirements.
• Oversee standard costing processes, including product cost development, bills of materials, and ongoing cost reviews.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting activities, including the annual operating plan and periodic financial projections.
• Monitor inventory accuracy, review perpetual inventory transactions, and investigate cost or valuation variances.

The Plant Controller oversees financial and cost accounting activities for the manufacturing facility, partnering closely with plant leadership to drive operational performance, improve profitability, and support business objectives. This role is responsible for standard costing, inventory management, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, analytical, and comfortable working directly with operations and production teams to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary finance and accounting partner to plant management, providing financial insights to support operational and strategic decisions.
• Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly plant performance metrics, including labor, overhead, scrap, productivity, and throughput.

• Experience with plant accounting and standard costing methodologies.
• Strong understanding of inventory accounting, cost analysis, and manufacturing financial processes.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with cost accounting or inventory systems.
• Ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
