Job summary

Dauch Corporation in the United States seeks a Plant Controller to lead financial controlling for the plant. You will drive budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and profitability analysis, delivering clear insights to support operational and strategic decisions.

Collaborating with Production, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering and HR, you’ll identify improvements to boost efficiency and sustain growth, with high visibility and broad responsibility across the site.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years in Controlling, Financial Analysis or cost accounting.
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred.
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting and management reporting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze monthly plant performance reports with variances.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting by collecting and analyzing data.
  • Monitor costs (labor, material, overhead, inventory) and identify trends.
  • Perform variance analyses and recommend corrective actions.
  • Track KPIs: productivity, efficiency, inventory, cost performance.
  • Assist month-end close and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Partner with production, supply chain, quality, engineering, HR on improvements.

Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, cost control, profitability analysis and performance reporting and provide clear insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.Work at the heart of the plant’s operations, collaborating closely with Production, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and HR to identify improvement opportunities, enhance efficiency, and support sustainable growth. This position offers high visibility, broad responsibility and the opportunity to make a measurable impact on the success of the site.Job Description:Prepare and analyze monthly plant performance reports, highlighting variances against budget, forecast, and prior-year results.Support the budgeting and forecasting process by collecting, validating, and analyzing financial and operational data.Monitor manufacturing costs, including labor, material, scrap, overhead, and inventory-related expenses, and identify trends or deviations.Perform variance analyses to understand the drivers behind financial and operational performance and recommend corrective actions.Track and report key plant KPIs, including productivity, efficiency, inventory, scrap, and cost performance indicators.Support inventory management activities by analyzing inventory levels, inventory valuation, and stock movements to ensure financial accuracy.Assist with month-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with company policies.Partner with operational departments to improve cost transparency and support data-driven decision-making.Prepare ad-hoc analyses and business cases to support operational improvements, cost reduction initiatives, and investment decisions.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance financial processes, reporting quality, and operational performance.Required Skills and EducationSuccessfully completed degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Controlling, or a comparable fieldMinimum of 3 years of professional experience in Controlling, Financial Analysis, Cost Accounting, or a comparable finance role, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environmentSound knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reportingStrong understanding of manufacturing finance principles, including product costing, inventory valuation, and operational performance measurementAbility to analyze financial and operational data, identify trends, and communicate findings in a clear and structured mannerStrong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with a detail-oriented and organized working styleProactive and collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with colleagues across Production, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering and other functionsGood understanding of ERP systems and financial reporting tools; experience with Oracle, HFM and/or business intelligence applications advantageousAdvanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel, including data analysis, reporting and financial modelingGood English communication skills, both written and spokenAbout Dauch:Dauch Corporation is a premier Driveline and Metal Forming supplier serving the global automotive industry with a powertrain-agnostic product portfolio that supports electric, hybrid, and internal combustion vehicles.
