Job description

Specific Responsibilities

• Accounting
  • Establish and maintain Gastonia Manufacturing accounting processes, procedures and initiatives
  • Analyze manufacturing cost trends and perform monthly cost analysis.
  • Reporting OPEX and participating in monthly OPEX conference calls
  • Implement and ensure Manual of authority is respect within the location.
• Reporting and closing activities
  • Prepare supporting documentation for MIS (P&L) reports, S&O reports or any other reports in Hyperion as requested by Region or Corporate Finance team.
  • Prepare various business‑related reports, for example, Sales by customer/by part, Cost/kg, Efficiency reports, Saving initiatives reports, Operational and Sustainability reports.
  • Assist VP of Operations with identification of and participation in EBIT improving projects.
  • Month end closing process
• Costing
  • Performing regular standard cost analysis against the actuals and providing reasoning for major variances.
  • Assist with Standard cost analysis and absorption rates.
  • Review the standard cost in SAP according to the group standards.
  • Review yearly factory rates based on capacity planning and implement in SAP.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining transfer pricing costs to make sure local profitability.
  • Monthly review of purchase price variances to determine correct standards.
  • Monthly review of production output variance related to the location.
• Inventory Management
  • Work with Production Management to ensure the accuracy of finished goods postings to SAP daily.
  • Using current systems (SAP, MII) create weekly and monthly process order variance reports, disseminate to production managers and document responses and reasons for variances.
  • Work with Production and Logistics to ensure the accuracy of inventory in SAP.
  • Develop and audit sound procedures for physical inventory of raw material.
  • Participate in monthly raw material physical inventory and ensure the accuracy of the book and physical counts, maintain records to document and explain variances. Review physical (RM) count differences for posting into SAP.
  • Produce DOH monthly inventory reports and work with sales and production management to reduce slow moving inventory.
