Position Summary: The Site Controller is responsible for overseeing the Finance and Accounting functions at Custom Power. This role ensures accurate financial planning and reporting, strengthens internal controls, and supports strategic business initiatives. The Controller leads cross-functional teams, promotes operational efficiency, and serves as a key advisor to executive leadership. This position requires a hands-on leader with broad functional expertise and a strong understanding of financial compliance, systems, and people operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting Oversight:

•Manage a full cycle month end close process, including journal entries and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts for two entities.

•Manage the Accounting department through direct supervision of the Accounting Manager.

•Ensure accuracy in general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.

•Establish and maintain robust internal controls and policies.

•Maintain and improve excess and obsolete inventory provision.

•Lead audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors.

•Liaison with third part tax advisors for annual tax filings.

•Manage all treasury functions and bank covenants.

•Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly P&L with a 3-day reporting timeline.

•Create and maintain annual budgets in collaboration with departments heads.

•Analyze financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to the executive team.

•Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable financial regulations.

•Conduct a margin analysis review post month end close.

Strategic Leadership:

•Participate in strategic planning and business development discussions.

•Identify opportunities for cost savings, operational improvements, and risk mitigation.

•Support M&A analysis and integration efforts when applicable.

Team Development & Cross-Functional Support:

•Mentor and develop direct reports across Accounting.

•Foster collaboration between departments to align with business priorities.

•Ensure effective succession planning and knowledge transfer within department

Skills & Qualifications:

·Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s or CPA preferred).

·7-10+ years of progressive finance and leadership experience, preferably in manufacturing or technology.

·Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial systems, and regulatory frameworks.

·Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.

·Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; experience with ERP systems (SYSPRO a plus).
