Job summary

Venteon is assisting a global manufacturer in Detroit seeking a Plant Controller to oversee plant financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and monthly/annual statements. You will lead the budgeting process, analyze performance metrics, and drive cost control across operations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 5+ years in automotive accounting/finance, with strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• 5+ years of automotive accounting/finance experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee plant financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
• Lead annual budget and rolling forecast processes; analyze plant performance metrics and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
• Manage cost accounting and standard cost analysis for new and existing products; drive cost control and efficiency initiatives across operations.
• Oversee fixed asset accounting, inventory control, and capital investment analysis, ensuring compliance and proper valuation of assets.
• Approve and monitor plant-level financial transactions (e.g., purchase orders, reimbursements, pricing flows, receivables), ensuring accuracy and adherence to corporate policies.
