Job summary

PrimeBridge Workforce LLC is seeking an experienced Plant Accountant for our manufacturing client in Texas. The role focuses on cost accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and cost analysis, reporting to the Plant Controller and leadership.

Ideal candidate has 5+ years in cost accounting within manufacturing, strong SAP skills, advanced Excel, and knowledge of GAAP/SOX controls. Onsite with limited travel and opportunities for growth and education benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing.
• SAP experience in GL, Costing, Procurement, and Inventory.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
• Onsite position with minimal travel (<5%).
• Overtime may be required during month-end close or special projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage manufacturing cost accounting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
• Monitor inventory accuracy, product costing, and production expenses.
• Support month-end close, journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost improvement initiatives.
• Partner with plant leadership to identify cost efficiencies and support business decisions.
• Ensure GAAP and SOX controls and internal financial policies are followed.

We are currently hiring on behalf of our clients for the following position:

We are seeking an experienced Plant Accountant to support financial operations at a chemical manufacturing facility. This role will work closely with the Plant Controller and plant leadership on cost accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and operational cost analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage manufacturing cost accounting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
• Monitor inventory accuracy, product costing, and production expenses.
• Support month-end close, journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost improvement initiatives.
• Partner with plant leadership to identify cost efficiencies and support business decisions.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX controls, and internal financial policies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 5+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• SAP experience in GL, Costing, Procurement, and Inventory preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Onsite position with minimal travel (less than 5%).
• Overtime may be required during month-end close, budget deadlines, or special projects.
• Limited relocation assistance of $5,000.
