CertainTeed in Claremont, NC is seeking a Plant Controller to manage financial reporting, standard costing, and financial analysis. This role ensures the financial health of the location and involves collaboration with management on inventory and cost control.
The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of seven years' experience in a manufacturing environment, with strong management accounting skills. Comprehensive benefits package included.
This position is primarily responsible for providing financial expertise and analysis support to our Claremont, NC facility. The plant controller is responsible for all aspects of the financial close, standard costing and financial reporting for the location. The role serves as the go‑to individual with plant management to ensure the financial health of the location and assists in managing inventory levels, cost reduction, capital and spending. The position works closely with plant management to ensure proper internal controls are in place in alignment with Saint‑Gobain requirements.
Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA, CMA, or MBA preferable or equivalent, complementary work experience.
Minimum 7 years of progressive cost accounting and analysis experience with a major manufacturing organization and a minimum of 2 years at a supervisor level. Strong emphasis on management accounting, cost and inventory accounting, and GAAP.
Strong analytical skills to quickly grasp issues impacting the plant’s financial results.
Strong IT aptitude to deliver effective desktop reporting (paperless web‑enabled environment), utilize business warehouse tools and MS Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and presentations.
