Responsibilities
Complete and present month-end financials – ie Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss
Ensure accuracy of plant inventory – Raw, WIP, finished goods, supplies, etc. Ensure cycle counts are completed to ensure no large write-offs are required during annual physical inventory count and sales understand what is produced to ship.
Ensure Bills of Material are as accurate as possible. Work with Engineering to make updates
Analyze production hours to meet efficiency goals
Test overhead rates annually and determine amount of under/over absorption based on prior year or budget. Work with CFO to determine required rate adjustment
Book all entries for capital assets and ensure asset listings are accurate
Manage accounts receivable, credit and collections. Ensure new customers are pre-qualified.
Measure purchasing savings and report on initiatives that are driving cost lower
Oversee the payables process and ensure controls are in place for all invoice types. Work with plant personnel to ensure invoices are coded correctly and approved
File personal property, sales and use tax as required
Complete the annual budget with the General Manager. Track progress and provide updates to all departments.
Update dashboard information in conjunction with month-end financials
Support cap-ex projects and complete IRR analysis as needed
