TEC is seeking a Plant Construction & Quality Manager to lead onsite construction activities, supervise the inspection team, and ensure all projects comply with TEC standards in Madisonville, KY. The role requires coordinating with project managers, contractors, and engineers to maintain schedules and safety compliance.
You will review tests and contractor billing, manage inspector workloads, and report progress to senior management while upholding TEC policies and quality expectations.
The main purpose of this job is to manage new construction and inspect existing plant for TEC. This job includes identifying and mitigating risks, reporting, and documenting progress and issues, driving and monitoring facilities to insure they meet with TEC standards, and communicating with the project managers and plant management during the process. This position is the lead onsite / field inspector and will supervise other inspection and quality coordinators that are monitoring new and existing plant for TEC. This position will communicate with contractors and resident engineers on site to correct any issues with new construction. The position will communicate issues on existing plant to local management and the Director of Plant Operations. The person in this position relies on experience and sound judgement to plant and accomplish goals, performs a variety of tasks, and is expected to successfully use a certain degree of creativity and latitude.

High school diploma or GED is required. Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred. A minimum of two (2) years of experience and responsibility as a Construction Manager is required.
Knowledge of the use of TEC’s operation systems such as for word processing. Spreadsheets, and presentations is required. This position requires efficient, professional written and verbal communication skills as well as strong organization, presentation, and negotiation skills, including maintaining and meeting various deadlines. The person in this position must possess the ability to multi-task and must be detail oriented with a background in problem solving.
