Job summary

Croell Concrete Products is seeking a Plant Construction Laborer to help assemble the metal framework of new buildings across Croell's operating states. This full-time, seasonal role involves travel and overtime, with a strong emphasis on safety, environmental compliance, and teamwork.

You will fit steel girders, pipework and beams, weld, perform cutting with torches, and operate a range of hand and power tools while lifting heavy objects and adapting to varying weather.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with pre-construction, construction, and close phases.
• Assemble metal framework of buildings by fitting girders, piping, and beams.
• Follow safety protocols including harnesses, lifts, scaffolding, and signals.
• Work at heights from elevated platforms when required.
• Perform facility wiring, circuit testing, and motor repair.
• Operate a range of saws, air tools, and hand or power tools.
• Weld and cut using a torch.
• Repair facilities and troubleshoot hydraulics, pumps, and motors.
• Lift heavy objects and maintain/repair equipment.
• Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope.

Full-time, seasonal, with travel and overtime

Responsibilities

• Assist with pre-construction, construction, and close phases of construction projects.
• Assemble the metal framework of new buildings or structures by fitting together steel girders, pipework, and beams.
• Execute proper safety using harnesses, lifts, scaffolding, safety nets, use of hand signals, etc.
• May often be carried out at heights from elevated platforms.
• Complete facility wiring, circuit testing, and motor repair.
• Effectively operate a variety of saws, air tools, and general hand or power tools.
• Weld and use a cutting torch.
• Make general repairs to facilities as well as troubleshoot issues (hydraulics, pumps, motors).
• Lift heavy objects, maintain, repair, and clean equipment.
• Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work as this job description is non-exhaustive.

• Dependability and reliability by showing up to scheduled shifts on time and being prepared for work.

• Continuous exposure to weather elements including heat, cold, noise, dusty conditions, and working outdoors.
• Overnight travel is standard during peak season.
