Job summary

Gibbon Packing, LLC, an American Foods Group Company, is seeking a Plant Chief Engineer at our Gibbon, Nebraska facility. You will lead maintenance and engineering activities to ensure reliable plant operations and on-time product output.

The role requires 5–7 years of supervisory maintenance experience, strong knowledge of refrigeration, HVAC, and PM programs, and the ability to manage budgets and safety compliance in a USDA-inspected facility.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years supervising, planning, and scheduling hourly maintenance personnel.
• Experience with refrigeration, steam and hot water systems.
• Knowledge of rendering and wastewater system management.
• Ability to lead by example and motivate hourly workforce.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance for preventative and repair maintenance to meet output quotas and deadlines.
• Design preventative maintenance programs with engineering staff.
• Prepare maintenance budgets and ensure objectives are met within budget.
• Collaborate with departments to maintain mechanical integrity of plant programs.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Administer and resolve all technical maintenance issues.
