Job summary

The Plant Care Specialist role at Rentokil North America, Inc. involves visiting client sites daily to care for plants, including grooming, watering, pruning, and soil moisture checks. You’ll maintain displays, prevent damage, and assist with installations and seasonal decorations as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for plants is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Licenses/certificates as required by regulations; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Visit customer sites daily to care for plants and maintain planters.
• Groom, rotate, water, prune, and fertilize as needed; monitor soil moisture.
• Keep plants and displays clean; prevent damage to surroundings.
• Recognize additional plant care needs and communicate product opportunities.
• Assist on installations and holiday decorations with a team.

Providing ultimate plant care while preventing damage to surrounding floors, walls, carpet, furniture, etc. from water and/or moisture.Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Exercise trained techniques to apply and maintain appropriate amounts of water per lighting conditions and plant requirementsEnsure plants as well as display containers are clean and free of dust and debrisKeep all plants free from diseases and insectsMaintain appearance of top dressing and other ornamental elementsRecognize and communicate additional Ambius product needs to grow the businessAssist on a variety of plantscape installations including interior or exterior container gardens, wall-mounted systems, commercial plantscapes, and moreAssist on holiday decoration installations decorating the interior and exterior of buildings with a team as well as removal of holiday decorations as needed at the end of the seasonMaintain scenting and air purification equipment as necessarySolid communication and critical problem solving skillsRegularly drive a service van/truck in urban and rural settingsAble to safely climb ladders and work on laddersExperience using pruners, scissors, and other sharp objectsWhat do you need?Experience caring for plants is preferredHigh school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceMust possess a valid driver's license from state of residenceAvailable to work Monday-Friday and Saturdays as neededSolid reading, writing, and verbal communication skillsBasic math skills —You’ll need to be able to follow instructions for mixing on product labelsLicenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by us)Customer-facing experience preferredWhy Choose Us?A career with the Rentokil family of companies can be a professional trajectory filled with opportunity.
