Job summary

Armstrong World Industries in Millwood, West Virginia, is seeking a Project Engineer to lead the planning, development, and execution of plant level capital and non-capital projects. The role offers a competitive base salary and a robust benefits package.

The successful candidate will bring 5+ years of manufacturing or maintenance experience, a Bachelor’s in engineering, and proficiency with AutoCAD, SAP, MS Office, and MS Project. Relocation is offered for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related discipline; 5+ years experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment or industrial maintenance.
• Ability to understand and use Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, SAP.

Responsibilities

• Providing project support for safe and successful implementation of plant capital project plan.
• Analyzing and implementing initiatives to improve safety systems, manufacturing processes, maintenance services and physical facilities.
• Supporting Plant, Divisional, and corporate proposed efforts, and driving equipment reliability.
• Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities using Lean Manufacturing tools.
• Responsible for providing direction and leadership to maintenance personnel and contractors for safe and successful project implementation.
• Responsible for developing scope and budget for small scale capital projects.
