Life Alive Organic Cafe is seeking a part-time Hot Prep Cook for the West End location in Washington D.C. You will masterfully execute hot prep tasks, craft soups and sauces, and uphold a pristine hot line environment in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Experience thriving in a high-volume, fast-paced culinary environment.
• Physical dexterity for reaching, grasping and precise knife work.
• Able to stand on feet for 8+ hours and walk up/down stairs.

Responsibilities

• Masterfully execute hot prep tasks, including soups, sauces and batters.
• Prepare and simmer hot menu components to meet flavor and quality standards.
• Uphold hygiene and organization to maintain a pristine hot line environment.
• Monitor and manage hot station inventory to optimize kitchen flow and freshness.
• Deliver culinary consistency and speed to meet target ticket times without compromising quality.
