The City of Grand Rapids is seeking a Plant Assistant II for the Lake Michigan Filtration Plant. This is a Natural Progression position handling care and maintenance of facilities and grounds, performing manual and semiskilled tasks.
Responsibilities include grounds maintenance, cleaning tanks and equipment, operating vehicles and equipment, and supporting plant operations; requires completion of tenth grade and two years of related experience, with CDL eligibility within six months.
This is a Natural Progression position. Satisfactory completion of the assigned duties and responsibilities results in appointment to Plant Assistant II. This is manual and some semiskilled work in the care and maintenance of the Lake Michigan Filtration Plant facilities and grounds.
