Job summary

McKinley Paper and Packaging Company is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support plant operations with accuracy, confidentiality, and organization. The role covers accounts payable/receivable, GL entries, month-end close, and cost reporting within a corrugated manufacturing setting.

The successful candidate will have 2–4 years of accounting experience, ERP and payroll exposure, and strong Excel/ERP skills to assist production and HR functions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2–4 years of accounting experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and cost accounting processes.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and receivable with accurate coding and reconciliation.
• Maintain general ledger entries, postings, and assist month-end closings.
• Reconcile production, inventory, and shipping reports between departments.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis activities.
• Assist HR with payroll-related duties and employee files.
• Generate reports for plant management on efficiency and metrics.
