Job summary

Vaco Recruiter Services’ client in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Plant Accounting Manager to lead plant accounting with a hybrid work schedule (three days onsite per week). Compensation: $135-140K plus a 10-15% bonus.

You will oversee monthly close, forecasting and budgeting from a plant perspective, ensure GAAP-compliant financial statements, and partner with operations leadership. Strong cost and inventory management experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly close, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and KPI reporting from a plant operational perspective
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of plant financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Analyze production performance, COGS, labor, material usage, and overhead costs to highlight trends, risks, and opportunities
• Own standard cost development, annual cost roll, BOM validation, and cost model accuracy
• Manage inventory accounting, cycle counts, physical inventories, and related reconciliations
• Serve as the primary financial business partner to the Plant Manager and operations leadership
• Provide financial guidance on capital projects, ROI analysis, productivity initiatives, and labor planning
• Support continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and cost-reduction efforts through data-driven insights

Plant Accounting Manager

Fort Worth, TX - hybrid, 3 days onsite/week

One of Vaco’s publicly‑traded manufacturing and industrial clients is looking to onboard a Manager of Accounting focused on operations.

Day-to-Day

• Lead financial activities, including monthly close, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and KPI reporting from a plant operational perspective
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of plant financial statements in accordance with company policies and GAAP.
• Analyze production performance, COGS, labor, material usage, and overhead costs to highlight trends, risks, and opportunities.
