We are seeking a hands‑on Plant Accounting Manager to support a next-generation manufacturing organization with a significant operational presence in Fort Worth, Texas. This is a highly visible role for an accounting professional who understands that effective manufacturing finance goes beyond the general ledger and requires a deep understanding of what is happening on the production floor.

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in cost accounting, cost of goods sold (COGS), inventory management, and manufacturing operations. This individual will partner closely with plant leadership, operations, supply chain, and production teams to provide financial visibility, improve cost controls, and drive operational efficiency. Success in this role requires a willingness to get out from behind the desk, walk the warehouse and production floor, understand manufacturing processes firsthand, and translate operational activity into meaningful financial insights.

Qualifications

• § Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• § Significant accounting experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment, including direct responsibility for plant accounting or manufacturing cost accounting.
• § Strong, hands‑on knowledge of COGS, inventory accounting, standard costing, and manufacturing cost variances.
• § Demonstrated understanding of how production activities, material consumption, labor, overhead, and inventory movement flow through the financial statements.
• § Experience with raw materials, WIP, and finished goods inventory, including reconciliations, cycle counts, and physical inventory processes.
• § Ability and willingness to spend meaningful time on the production floor and in the warehouse to understand operational processes firsthand.
• § Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and identify root causes rather than simply report variances.
