Job summary

Texas Materials, a CRH company, is seeking a financial accountant to support plant manufacturing and inventory accounting functions. You will perform journal entries, manage inventory records, and provide financial analysis to help management make informed decisions.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field and 1–3 years of experience. On-site position in Cedar Park, TX, emphasizing accuracy, deadlines, and adherence to internal controls.

Qualifications

• Supports research and analysis of financial records as directed by management.
• Maintains internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Records, reconciles, and reports activities relating to plant/terminal inventory transactions
• Manages and reconciles raw material inventories
• Executes monthly closing procedures and journal entries
• Assists with external and internal audits documentation

Responsibilities

• Supports the organization with research and analysis of financial records as directed by management.
• Ensures internal controls are maintained to safeguard the financial assets of the company.
• Records, reconciles, and reports activities relating to plant/terminal inventory transactions.
• Manage and reconcile raw material inventories.
• Maintains and reconciles assigned balance sheet accounts and fixed asset system.
• Analyses and enters production transactions into accounting system
• Completes necessary journal entries as required
• Process weekly and monthly fuel transactions
• Assist with material payment processing
• Performs vendor and/or other financial analysis as directed by management
• Provide accurate and timely volume reporting weekly
• Process material purchase transactions
• Coordinates posting and maintenance for general ledger
• Executes monthly closing procedures with journal entries and reconciliations
• Assist with audits documentation
