Qualifications

  • Design, installation, and troubleshooting of PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
  • HMI/SCADA experience (Ignition preferred).
  • Industrial PC hardware/software in industrial environments.
  • Bachelor's or Associate degree with 5+ years hands-on controls/automation experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Project management experience.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays and off shift hours.
  • Must be able to analyze equipment faults and identify root causes.
  • Must implement solutions to resolve faults and prevent recurrence.
  • Software development capabilities in Python, Java, C++.
  • Maintain, install and troubleshoot electrical systems ensuring codes and safety standards.

**Job Title**Plant 81 | Automation Engineer**Position Overview**Shaw Industries is searching for an Automation Controls Engineer to support and assist in the development and oversight of locally deployed process control solutions as part of broader process engineering responsibilities.
