Job Title

Plant 4 | Lift Truck Operator | Shift 3

Position Overview

LTO I

Essential Duties

• Update production logs and other SQS forms.
• Drive lift truck to move buggies and/or rolls throughout the plant as needed.
• Use a utility knife and a cross-cut knife.
• Assist Inspector with various duties.
• Inspect empty buggies for missing or damaged felt liners or ticket holders.
• Operate control panel to feed carpet into buggies or rolls.
• Operate computer and scanner.
• Match tickets to production schedule.
• Place scrap carpet in rollup.
• Responsible for ticketing the carpet once it is in the buggy.
• Cut carpet and carpet samples.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to sit, walk and/or stand intermittently for at least an 8-hour shift.
• Must be able to work in temperatures ranging from 50 to 110 degrees.
• Must be able to climb ladders, use air/water hoses, pick up garbage bags, work in wet and dusty environments, and confined spaces.
• Must be able to climb 11 steps and reach above 6 feet approximately 4 times per hour.
• Must be able to pull carpet from overhead to the sewing table.
