Job description

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate paint guns, regulators, paint pumps, and pressure gauges according to work instructions, prints, D-sheets, and/or production order specifications.
• Properly load/unload parts on conveyor line with assistance of a lift truck as necessary, following work instructions, prints, D-sheets, and/or production order specifications.
• Repair/rework parts to meet quality specifications using Bondo, rubbing compound, and polishes as per work instructions, prints, D-sheets, and/or production order specifications.
• Move materials using lift trucks, hoists, and bridge cranes.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
• Refill and dispose of empty paint barrels.
• Notify supervisor or group leader of any safety, quality, or production issues as they occur.
• Train operators as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Prior painting experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and understand drawings and production order travelers.
• Ability to listen, communicate, and understand verbal instructions.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to remember, reason, and analyze.
